Dr. Ken WynneKen Wynne, DMD

Dr. Ken Wynne completed his undergraduate studies in biology with a minor in chemistry at California State University-Northridge. He received a two-year scholarship to University of Louisville School of Dentistry (ULSD), where he completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Wynne has practiced in the Anchorage area for over 20 years. In 2012, he opened his current office for Vietnam veterans and has expanded to provide care to patients of all ages.

Dr. Wynne regularly completes continuing education to stay at the forefront of the dental field. To date, he has completed 850 units of continuing educating in his career, including an oral surgery internship at Edwards Flight School in California.

Dr. Wynne is a member of the American Dental Association®, the Alaska Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has received a number of awards, including:

  • An award from the U.S. Senate in 1986 for treating all of Anchorage’s population for free when many Alaskans were out of work due to collapsing oil prices.
  • An award from the Alaskan State Legislature in 1988, also for providing free dental care to Anchorage’s population in 1987 and 1988.

He treated all patients in need at Bean’s Café, including providing dental sealants for needy children in 1990.

Dr. Wynne met his wife in graduate school. They have two adult children and have enjoyed 40 years of bliss together. Dr. Wynne’s hobbies include whitewater rafting and visiting wildlife reserves in National Parks. He summited Mt. McKinley in the 70s and has been flying for over 35 years.

Dani — Office Manager

Dani was born and raised in Anaheim, California, so she is a lover of all things Disney and, of course, the beach. She received her bachelor’s degree from California State University-Fullerton in communications in 2011. Dani’s husband is from Anchorage and always talked about the beauty and adventure to be found here, so they relocated in 2015. Dani enjoys traveling, yoga, cross-country skiing and going hiking with her fur baby, Cheeto. She enjoys working for the practice because she likes being able to serve others and provide a caring environment for the patients and staff.

Ana — Registered Dental Hygienist

Ana attended the University of Alaska in Anchorage, earning her degree in dental hygiene in 1994. While completing her studies, she earned the Golden Scaler award for scaling technique and aptitude. Ana has been with Dimond Family Dental Center since 2018 and has more than 25 years of experience in the dental field. She enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them enjoy a healthy mouth. She loves being part of a long-established practice with loyal patients and working with a doctor who respects her abilities and trusts her to do her best with each patient she meets.

Ana was born in Chile and immigrated to the USA with her family at age 5. She has lived in Anchorage since she was 12. Ana loves the outdoors and going for hikes and bike rides. She is also a ZUMBA® enthusiast and takes classes several days a week.

Niki — Administrative Assistant

Niki started at Dimond Family Dental Center in 2019 after graduating from Dimond High School and attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She considers Dr. Wynne’s office a very welcoming atmosphere and enjoys how everyone here makes you feel like family. As a trained dental assistant, she loves that she can help explain treatments to patients in detail or hop in and help in the back office in a pinch. Niki also loves people, so she enjoys making patients feel comfortable in the office.

Niki enjoys hiking, clam digging and taking her dogs to the beach. Other hobbies including painting and doing crossword on rainy days.
